Turn your next email into the start of an AI conversation.

Your email introduces a new feature, shares an insight, or makes an offer. But readers may still need something more before taking the next step: an answer specific to their business, help choosing an option, or a clearer idea of what to do next.

Now you can give them a direct path to that conversation.

With Surfn’s new Embed in Email feature, you can add a compact, branded AI agent card to newsletters, announcements, and email campaigns. Readers can choose a suggested question, open your agent, and immediately continue the conversation around the topic they’re already interested in.

From reading to asking, in one click

The email card gives readers a preview of who they’ll be talking to and what they can ask.

For example, someone reading about your new service might click:

Which option is right for me?

Surfn opens the Agent Page and automatically sends that question to your agent. The visitor lands directly in a conversation about the topic they chose instead of having to start from a blank chat.

Readers who already know what they want to ask can click the header, profile image, welcome message, or message-box area to open your agent normally.

The card appears inside the email; the live AI conversation happens on your Agent Page.

So the experience becomes:

Read → choose a question → start a conversation

Bring your AI agent into the inbox

Your email card is a compact version of your Surfn agent, designed to fit naturally inside newsletters, announcements, and campaigns.

It can include your:

  • Profile image
  • Display name and tagline
  • Short welcome message
  • Up to three suggested questions
  • Message-box call-to-action
  • Brand colors and button style

By default, the card follows your Fully Branded agent’s colors and styling.

If your campaign has a different visual style, turn off Match agent colors and choose a separate light or dark mode and primary color for the email card. Surfn automatically adjusts the background, text, button, and button-text colors.

You can also align the card left, center, or right to fit the layout of your email.

How to embed your agent in an email

Start with a public agent using the Fully Branded layout, then:

  1. Open Share → Embed in Email.
You’ll find the email card settings in your agent’s Share tab.
  2. Customize the card.
Add a short welcome message, choose up to three suggested questions, and edit the message-box placeholder.
  3. Check the appearance.
Keep your agent’s colors or choose an email-specific color scheme, set the alignment, and review the preview.
  4. Copy and paste.
Click Copy Email HTML, then paste it into a Custom HTML or Code block in your email platform.

Use an email platform that supports custom HTML blocks. Pasting the code into a standard rich-text block may strip the layout.

Give each campaign its own conversation starters

You don’t have to use the same card in every email.

Each time you click Copy Email HTML, Surfn creates a snapshot of the card as it looks at that moment. You can change the welcome message, suggested questions, colors, or alignment for your next campaign without changing emails you already sent.

The strongest cards are written around the email they appear in.

For a product announcement

  • What’s new?
  • How do I try it?
  • How could this help my team?

For an educational newsletter

  • Dive deeper into this topic
  • How does this apply to me?
  • What should I do next?

For a sales follow-up

  • Which option is right for me?
  • How does it work?
  • Book a demo

You don’t need to fill every button slot. One highly relevant question can be better than three generic ones.

Make the next click useful

Connect the welcome message to the email.
Instead of repeating your normal Agent Page greeting, use the welcome message to continue the context of the campaign. For example:

Want help putting these ideas into practice?

Write questions readers would actually ask.
Generic prompts like “Learn more” waste the biggest advantage of the feature. A specific question like “Which option is right for me?” gives the reader a clear reason to click.

Match the surrounding design.
Keep Match agent colors on when your agent already fits the email. If the campaign has a different visual theme, choose an email-specific color scheme so the card feels native to the newsletter.

Prepare the experience after the click.
The suggested question is automatically sent to your agent, so make sure your training data, instructions, and AI Tasks are ready to give a useful answer and guide the visitor toward the right next step.

Send yourself a test before the campaign goes out.
Check the card on desktop and mobile, click each suggested question, and make sure the right agent opens with the intended message.

Where to use it

The email card can work anywhere you want to move a reader from passive content into a conversation:

  • Product and feature announcements
  • Newsletters
  • Educational content
  • Lead-nurture campaigns
  • Sales follow-ups
  • Event and launch emails
  • Customer updates

Instead of forcing every reader through the same landing page and the same CTA, you can give them a few relevant ways to continue based on what they actually want to know.

Make your next email conversational

Your readers don’t all have the same questions.

Give them a few relevant ways to continue, then let your agent help them explore what matters to them.

Open your Fully Branded Surfn agent and go to:

Share → Embed in Email

Customize your card, copy the HTML, and turn your next newsletter into the start of a conversation.
